It has always been a struggle for me to shop in Cebu when it comes to finding eccentric patterns on apparel. And from a recent business meeting, a new stylish business partner (Something for you, guys to look forward in the coming post), told me to check Scotch & Soda because he distributes it in his Cebu store.
And I DIED!
These are some of my personal favorites from their collection. Actually, I love the whole collection.
I love the choice of color combinations to the patterns and print. Just perfect and now, I’m excited to come back to Cebu after this sudden Manila trip (another AMAZING post to share in the future).
I must say, this year is starting very good!
Thank you, Lord for the blessings! In Your Glory!
Anyway, if you want to see more about Scotch & Soda and even check their womenswear. Just click on the link below

As we return back to Manila, we had one last stop which was Baguio City.
I was really looking forward to this stop not only for the cool weather but one of my top purchases that I would make was going to be in this city from Good Shepherd’s home made products which are so immaculate to Sagada Handwoven Bag that I have been eyeing for awhile.
Our stay was very short but we were able to pass by a very quaint and homey restaurant which was Cafe by the Ruins. They had one of the best Cinnamon Rolls I have ever tasted. The freshness of the baked roll to the crunchiness of the nuts with every bite was totally sinful. The Melon Refresher (drink) was something that you can easily make anywhere but nevertheless, it help soothe my throat. And the Champorado, YUM! I never thought you were suppose to eat it with Danggit (Dried Fish). The saltiness and sweetness was a delectable contrast.
We then hurriedly rush to Mind’s View Park to do some necessary shopping and of course, to get some fresh Strawberry Taho (Tofu Pudding with Fresh Strawberries and syrup).
I brought a lot Good Shepherd’s Products which I never thought would be that heavy but they were worth it for their taste and charity to bring youth to school.
By the end of the day, I found the bag that I’m looking for but I’m eyeing to get the rattan woven bag in the future. I have this feeling that I can revive it. Something to look forward to in my next return to the city of Pine.

Further to the North, we went and reach Pagudpud.
Strong South China Sea winds and the gush of waves as it hits the beach was the backdrop of this beautiful scenario.
There, you can see windmills, turning and converting.

They say if you were to eat in Ilocos, you have to try their Empanada.
Theirs is totally different from any other Empanada that I have tasted. They first prepare the dough, fill it up with cabbage, their famous longganiza, raw egg, and cheese then have it deep fried giving that crunch as you bite through the soft filling.
Looking at this photo makes me want to eat it again.
Yum!
More to come.

The last stop of the day was Fort Ilocandia
It is a resort and hotel which was known to be only built by Former President Ferdinand Marcos for his daughter’s reception on her wedding day.
There are three huge chandeliers that glisten from the ceiling when you enter the main lobby. And when you head to your rooms, you can see the red brick architecture of the resort and further in the distance is the South China Sea.
As day become night, the stars come out to play, and what a perfect way to enjoy it with a bonfire.

(Marcel Wonder Sunglasses for Marks & Spencer, Giordano Polo Shirt, Fossil Watch, H & M Shorts)
Next to our itinerary was to visit the Malacanang of the North which was the residence of Former President Ferdinand Marcos and his family whenever he decided to visit his Ilocos Hometown.
As you enter the palace, you start to imagine the days when these walls were used to welcome delegates from all parts of the world, the lavish parties, the beautiful gowns and actually think of what secrets they may hold.
And in this residence was where President Ferdinand Marcos declared the infamous Martial Law.
Further into the halls, you will see a stunning view of the lake and a vast golf range
More to come.
