Chocolatier and friends

I have been keeping my eye on this cafe ever since they place their signage saying Chocolatier. And I love chocolate and I seriously needed this boost because of my failed attempt to get my license which means I have to wait another month and a day to retry again.

Finally, hearing that they have opened and that they serve their main course with chocolate, I was so intrigue to try it out with friends.

While waiting for everyone else, Yan2x and I were mouthwatering at the menu and we had a difficult time to choose which one we want because everything seemed delicious. And each dish had CHOCOLATE in it. This reminded me of that movie “Le Chocolat” starring Johhny Depp. Chocolate and Johnny Depp, do I need to say more.

To be honest, we were a little hesitant to come here because we assumed that the price will be expensive but to our surprise, it wasn’t. They truly adjusted their prices to suit the Cebu market. Plus points on that.

I ordered the Roast Beef Panini. It was good. I was happy with it and I was a little worried that the chocolate would overpower the dish but it complimented the beef very well.

Yan2x got Chocolate Rissotto which was delicious and in my opinion, an new variation of Champarado.

Kryz and Jaye got salads which had chocolate dressings. I didn’t understand why it took so long for their orders to arrive when they were just salads and looking at their dishes it would mostly take at least 5-10 minutes just to do this.

Golden Euphoria. It was really good. The chocolate was very moist and and it had this little crunch within which was a good contrast. But I was really disappointed how long it took for them to serve this. I didn’t understand why they didn’t get the one in the fridge counter or maybe it was fake but seriously, it really took long to serve it.

All in all, the food was good with the right price. The people were very accommodating but the problem was that it took too long for them to serve which added to the frustration.

I love this cocktail dress made out of Ferrero Rocher wrappers which was being shown right beside their entrance. But unfortunately, I wasn’t able to ask who designed it.

The skirt detail is my favorite for each wrapper was intricately place to create this beautiful scale-inspired skirt.

Decided to go to Starbucks after. I love what Yan2x wore that night. She was wearing one my favorite color combinations. And her skirt has a little structure to it

I want to thank Kristine of Instyle Cebu for featuring me and my piece on her column on the Prevolution: Vudu’s 9th Annual Halloween Ball. Thanks Kristine! 😀

Behind-the-Scenes: Island Christmas Love

I have mention in one of my past post that I will be in a photoshoot with fellow friends for a campaign ad. And here is a little Behind-the-scenes for you to look forward to once the photos will be officially released and that will be very soon which to be honest, I am excited for them to be out.

I do apologize if I blur this photo. Well, it adds more to the anticipation and intrigue.

Kryz Uy from Thirstythought and me, David Cua and Mia Arcenas being prepped for the shoot.

I want to thank Gen Mijares for showing a bit of me in her tumbler.

The photos were taken on the day that I did a performance with Russ Ligtas. It was really amazing because these were taken with a Kodak 135 post processed in black and white.

I never thought that I would still see someone using film since digital is readily available. But in a way, it was a very refreshing sight to see.

Stingray and Lizard Case for Iphone 3Gs

As we all know, Christmas is fast approaching and finding an unique gift is really difficult especially here in Cebu because of limited choices.

While I am still working on the overall design of my online store, I can show some of the products that I will be showcasing and here it is!!

An export-quality Stingray Case for IPhone 3gs!

Fortunately, I was able to find a way for it to fit Phil (my ITouch 4) and it is so beautiful.

This is another variation of the stingray but with the eye which is much pricier than the plain.

And there a lot of colors to choose from, there is Green, Black, Red & Blue.

AND!!! There is GENUINE LIZARD LEATHER too!! Much less expensive than the stingray but still just as amazing.

There are Red, Blue and Brown colors to choose from.

You will barely see this anywhere in Cebu, so what a perfect gift for IPhone lovers out there especially for this coming Christmas which is just a month away.

And normally, these cases are sold in Europe around 200 – 500 Euro and in the US, they are sold around $80 – $150 but I will be selling far cheaper than that at a way more affordable price.

If you are interested, send me an email message at

Yours Truly,

P.S  Finally, after 4 years, Goodbye Braces and Hello Retainers!

And just on time because I will be in a photoshoot with fellow friends which I am really excited for. I can’t say anything just yet but I can give a little teaser for you all. It is going to be with one of the biggest tourism related company in Japan. No! I kid. Here in the Philippines. 🙂

The Waking of LazaRuss

What does it mean to die? Or better yet, what does it mean to live?

Have you asked yourself lately what are you living for?

So, here are some of the photos during the performance. It was one of the most well-constructed and enlightened performance that Russ has created and the best part of it all was that I was able to participate in it.

Photo Courtesy to Mecca Maranga. Thanks.

This was part of performance where I had no idea anymore what’s going to happen. I didn’t know that we were all suppose to lie on the floor for more than 10 minutes and be dead.

Imagine your body is totally useless but your soul is still wandering within and you can hear everyone in your funeral. Everything that you own and love are now fully detached from you whether you like or not.

I felt like Cristina Ricci in one her latest movie, “Still Life”. You can’t do anything but just accept your death.

I want to personally thank Max for being my witness. It was really odd to just keep on staring to each others eyes for 5 minutes during the performance (another part which I had no idea). Good thing, I didn’t personally know him or else I will just keep on laughing.

For me, one of the best highlight that I found in this performance was my perception of death. You shouldn’t fear death. It is part of being human. We all have an expiration date which makes things much more beautiful. Material objects come and go including our bodies but our soul, spiritual entity or whatever you call it becomes something more. It becomes part of the universe. We become part of the universal flow. We can become the stars above the sky.

How beautiful is that?

If you want to follow Russ, visit Read Russ.

Yours Truly

P.S This is a little token from Russ for the performance. It was made by him and each of the participants has their one unique clay face piece.
